The American Legion sponsored the fifth grade flag essay contest recently. Winners recognized from Central Lutheran, Newhall, were Samantha Zahradnik, Belle Plaine, and Sophia Seeck, Newhall. They shown with Legion members Vince Barloon, Belle Plaine, and Doug Anderson, Newhall.
