• Belle Plaine – July 3 car show. Franklin Park. Registration at 2 p.m. Enjoy food trucks, beer tent, a bags tournament, and a 50/50 raffle. Hosted by Belle Plaine Community Development and the Belle Plaine Lions Club.
• Newhall – Fireworks. Ball park concessions at 6 p.m. The Grill Masters of El Kahir Shrine will be serving food at the Newhall Fireworks. Menu includes Burgers, Brats, Hot Dogs, Pulled Pork, Chips, Freeze Pops, Pop & Water.
• Marengo – 5K run/walk at 7:30 a.m. Horshoes, mini golf, car show registration at 7 a.m. Bags tournament at noon. Parade at 6:30 p.m. Rolle bolle at 7 p.m. Street dance at 9:30 p.m. Grind plays.

• Belle Plaine – July 4 celebration. 8 a.m. 5K Run Walk. Registration at Franklin Park. 10 a.m. parade. 11 a.m. Fun Zone. Petting zoo. 12 p.m. Sand Volleyball. Bingo. 1 p.m. live music from “Night Shift.” 1 p.m. Dollar Swim at the aquatic center. 2 p.m. cow ship bingo. 3 p.m. Time capsule presentation at the museum. Fireworks at dark.
