Nolte, Cornman & Johnson P.C. today released an audit report on the Belle Plaine Community School District in Belle Plaine, Iowa.

The District’s revenues totaled $8,113,634 for the year ended June 30, 2018, a 2.56% increase from the prior year.

Revenues included $2,718,347 in property tax, $257,371 in income surtax, $495,226 in statewide sales, services and use tax, $598,248 in charges for service, $739,972 in operating grants, contributions, and restricted interest, $3,177,738 in unrestricted state grants, $39,308 in unrestricted interest and $87,424 in other general revenues.

Expenses for District operations for the year ended June 30, 2018 totaled $7,521,224 a 3.45% decrease from the prior year. Expenses included $3,002,052 for regular instruction, $956,774 for administration support services and $831,079 for other instruction.
