- Coach Z’s comments: Friday night had to be one of the wilder high school football games. We had to overcome a lot of adversity with some self-inflicted wounds, but credit to our kids they continued to battle and found a way to pull it out. County rivalry games will always be interesting and I think our kids did a great job of not getting panicky and just staying the course. Really proud of this group of players and coaches. Any time you can win a district title, that is a big deal and something to be proud of. Ready to continue to keep getting to play football as we prepare for a home playoff game this week against PCM.

- Coach Bohlen’s comments: . I think we once again did a nice job of controlling the line of scrimmage on both sides of the football. Whenever you can post as many rushing yards as we have been it is a great tribute to the offensive line play. The hi-light of the night was senior co-captain Ethan Allie intercepting a pass and returning it for a touchdown. I know our players wanted to win the district without a loss, and they came well prepared to play every day last week in practice and the result was a decisive regular season ending victory. We drew Grundy Center in the first round of the playoffs this Friday for a home game. We lost to them early in the season and felt like we squandered away some opportunities to win that game. I am sure the guys will be working hard again in their preparation and hopefully this time we can come out on top.
