Belle Plaine’s boys’ basketball team (13-10) closed its 2020-21 season with a loss to Alburnertt, 58-25, in Class A district basketball action on Thursday, Feb. 18.

Brooks DeMeulenaere scored nine. Ben DeMeulenaere added eight points. Ben DeMeulenaere also had 10 rebounds and blocked four shots. The team was 9 of 32 for field goals, 3 of 11 for three-pointers and 5 of 14 for free throws. The team had 22 rebounds, four steals and 10 turnovers.

Alburnett goes on to face 23-0 North Linn on Tuesday, Feb. 23, at Vinton-Shellsburg.
