Benton Community (19-10) earned a big WaMaC win Thursday, Oct. 7, when they swept Independence (19-9) in three games in girls’ volleyball action.

Grace Embretson had 25 assists for Benton. The team was 35 of 104 for kills with 13 errors. Alyssa Tegeler had 18 kills to lead Benton.

Piper Nelson had 18 digs. Embretson added 15. Addison Phillips had 12 and Olivia Janss had 10. Benton was 62 of 70 for serves with six aces. Emma Townsley had three aces for Benton.
