Cody Wright was 1 for 3 with two RBIs. Thys and Patterson each stole two bases. Benton had one error. Patterson threw for five innings and picked up the win, allowing four hits, three runs (two earned), walked three and struck out seven. Casey Gessner threw for one inning, allowed two hits, walked one and struck out three. Caleb Gessner threw for one inning, allowed one hit, one earned run, walked three and struck out one.

Benton hosts Solon (20-7) on Monday, June 19. They host Anamosa (16-5) at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 10. They travel to Mount Vernon (6-14) on Thursday, June 22.
