BLAIRSTOWN COUNCIL PROCEEDINGS –July 10, 2023

The regular meeting of the Blairstown City Council was held Monday, July 10, 2023 at 7:00 p.m. Members present were Metz, Becker, Davidson and Hagen. Absent: Mokas.

Meeting was called to order by Mayor Kubichek.

Motion made by Metz, seconded by Davidson to approve the agenda as read. All Ayes.

Motion made by Hagen, seconded by Metz to approve the June 12th minutes. All Ayes.

Motion made by Davidson, seconded by Hagen to approve the June Financial Reports. All Ayes.

Motion made by Metz, seconded by Hagen to approve the following submitted and added bills. All Ayes.

Public Comment: Deputy Vic Rohrbach was present to introduce himself, he is the new contact for the Sheriff’s office for the city.

Motion made by Metz, seconded by Davidson to accept the Blairstown Water Treatment Plant Salt and Brine Storage Improvements plan. All Ayes.

The monthly Maintenance Report was given.

The monthly Library Report was given.

Kaleb Rabe and Mike Wilhelm were present to discuss a possible Water/Sewer main extension past their properties. Motion made by Davidson, seconded by Metz to table. All Ayes.

The monthly Ambulance Report was given. Motion made by Metz, seconded by Davidson to approve Aaron Kinser as an Ambulance Crew member. All Ayes.

The monthly Fire Report was given.

Motion made by Metz, seconded by Davidson to approve Resolution 23-09: Street Closure. All Ayes.

Motion made by Metz, seconded by Hagen to table the retaining wall repairs. All Ayes.

Motion made by Metz, seconded by Davidson to approve Ordinance 208. All Ayes. Motion made by Davidson, seconded by Metz to waive the second and third readings. All Ayes.

Motion made by Hagen, seconded by Metz to approve Resolution 23-10: Employee Wages. All Ayes.

Discussion was held about building plans for Joel Thys.

No further business, meeting adjourned at 7:46 p.m.
