BLAIRSTOWN COUNCIL PROCEEDINGS –August 14, 2023

The regular meeting of the Blairstown City Council was held Monday, August 14, 2023 at 7:00 p.m. Members present were Metz, Mokas, Becker, Davidson and Hagen.

Meeting was called to order by Mayor Kubichek.

Motion made by Davidson, seconded by Mokas to approve the agenda as read. All Ayes.

Motion made by Metz, seconded by Hagen to approve the July 10th minutes. All Ayes.

Motion made by Davidson, seconded by Mokas to approve the July Financial Reports. All Ayes.

Motion made by Hagen, seconded by Metz to approve the following submitted and added bills. All Ayes.

The monthly Ambulance Report was given.

The monthly Fire Report was given. Motion made by Davidson, seconded by Mokas to approve Hunter Wagner as a Fire Department member. All Ayes.

Motion made by Metz, seconded by Mokas to approve a building permit for a garage for Ryan Long. All Ayes.

Motion made by Davidson, seconded by Mokas to approve liquor licenses for the Blairstown Sauerkraut Days. All Ayes.

Motion made by Metz, seconded by Hagen to approve Resolution 23-11: Street Closure. All Ayes.

Motion made by Metz, seconded by Davidson to repeal Ordinance 208. All Ayes.

Motion made by Davidson, seconded by Mokas to approve Resolution 23-12: Publish Public Hearing for Code of Ordinances. All Ayes.

The monthly Maintenance Report was given.

Motion made by Davidson, seconded by Hagen to deny city funding for water and sewer service request from Rabe/Wilhelm. All Ayes.

Discussion was held about the city lawnmower and city tractor.

No further business, meeting adjourned at 7:40 p.m.
