
VINTON – It was a quick meeting for the Benton County Board of Supervisors on Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2023, at the service center in Vinton.
Benton County Treasurer Melinda Schoettmer received approval for a new postage machine lease with Pitney-Bowes. This machine will be in compliance with new regulations. The cost is $204 per quarter.
Dan Rammelsberg was appointed as a member to the Shared Area Radio Agreement (SARA) board.
Tim Kapucian was appointed as a Kane Township trustee.
Benton County Engineer Myron Parizek received approval for out-of-state travel to attend a National Association of County Engineers (NACE) conference, which is April 15-19 in California. Parizek also updated the board on snow removal after the first major snow for the area. He added that tiling work is planned for Highway 30. Shoulder work will follow, along with intersection lighting.
The board tabled the 1 p.m. meeting regarding the board of health.
