Grieder also had five assists. With two steals each were Alyssa Steinback and Branneman. Grieder had two blocks.

Belle Plaine travels to Collins-Maxwell on Monday, Dec. 4. They host Sigourney on Tuesday, Dec. 5, and host North Tama on Thursday, Dec. 7. They close next week hosting Iowa Valley on Friday, Dec. 8.

Emma Townsley had 25 for Benton. She was 5 of 10 for three-pointers. McKenna Kramer added 23. She was 6 of 12 for three-pointers. With seven rebounds each were Townsley and Zoey Junge. Townsley had seven assists and six steals. Piper Nelson blocked two shots.

Mid-Prairie was 19 of 46 for field goals, 2 of 8 for three-pointers and 5 of 13 for free throws. They had 40 rebounds, 11 assists, seven steals, four blocks, 28 turnovers and 14 fouls.

They had 20 rebounds, 10 assists, five steals and one block. They had 15 turnovers and 18 fouls.

Emma Townsley scored 17 for Benton. Zoey Junge had 10 rebounds. Townsley had six assists. With two steals each were Townsley and McKenna Kramer. Piper Nelson had two blocks.

The girls travel to No. 5 Mount Vernon on Tuesday, Dec. 5, and host West Delaware Friday, Dec. 8.

Carson Nolan led Benton with 18 points. Quincy Gilbert added 13 points. Nolan had seven rebounds. Owen Tjelmeland added six rebounds. Gavin Brooks had five assists and four steals. Nolan added three steals. Brooks blocked one shot.
