City Council Regular Meeting
Monday, January 8, 2024 – 6:00 PM

Mayor Boddicker opened the regular meeting at 6:00 PM.
Roll Call: Council Present: Seeck, Cross, Wendel, Messner, Rinderknecht
Approval of the Agenda: Motion by Cross, 2nd Rinderknecht approving the agenda, all yes, motion carried.
Department Reports
Library – Crafts were done during Christmas breaks and were donated by Jo Rieck; working on State Library Accreditation FY24.
Consent Agenda and Bill Consent: Motion by Seeck, 2nd by Cross to approve the minutes from December 27, 2023, and bills totaling $10,471.66, all present aye, motion carried.

Council Action
a. Motion by Wendel, 2nd by Rinderknecht, roll call vote all yes approving the first reading of Resolution 2024-001 increasing garbage rates effective February 1, 2024 (residential increase $2.67 a month, $1.00 increase to commercial yard), motion carried.
b. 11 C Avenue resident was not present, item tabled.
c. Motion by Wendel, 2nd by Rinderknecht allowing the 3rd letter to be sent and see what is not corrected. Follow up by Wendel that council members should visit address with homeowner and ECICOG rep and discuss items, all yes, motion carried.
d. Motion by Seeck, 2nd by Cross acknowledging that City of Newhall State Annual Exam was read, and issues and questions were answered, actions are in place to correct findings, all yes, motion carried.
e. Motion by Wendel, 2nd by Seeck approving the following board members and coaches, all yes, motion carried.

Adjournment: At 6:37 PM, Seeck moved to adjourn, Messner 2nd, all present aye motion carried.
