Regular Meeting
Wednesday, March 27, 2024 – 6:00 PM

Mayor Boddicker opened the regular meeting at 6:00 PM.
Roll Call: Council Present: Seeck, Cross, Wendel, Messner, Rinderknecht
Approval of the Agenda: Motion by Seeck, 2nd Cross approving the agenda (adding e) all yes, motion carried.
Department Reports
Public Works – Sewer classes are done; hydrant near CLS appears to have been hit, guys will have it looked at.
Library – 13 attended St. Patrick’s Day craft, 38 attended Easter Craft; Linda has been trained and is working.
Consent Agenda and Bill Consent: Motion by Rinderknecht, 2nd by Seeck to approve the minutes from March 11, 2024, and bills totaling $101,297.41, all present aye, motion carried.

Council Action
a. Newhall Chiropractor was present to discuss the installation of a ramp in front of his building. He will get with Boddicker after he has plans and then they will be presented to the council.
b. HR Green submitted a report showing that the current two lift stations the city has can accommodate a 40 home addition south of 6th Street.
c. Motion by Wendel, 2nd by Seeck, approving the amended contract from EZ Trash Solutions, changing the day of the week when garbage and recycling will be picked up to Wednesday, EZ Trash Solutions paying the tipping fees at the Benton County Landfill and the City of Newhall paying them an additional $3.60 for each customer (no additional cost for customers), pickup to not occur prior to 7:00 AM, all yes, motion carried.
d. Motion by Seeck, 2nd by Wendel approving to proceed with selling 25 feet of the property/parking lot located west of the library, area will be surveyed, and a fair market value will be approved in an intent to sell resolution in the future, all yes, motion carried.
Adjournment: At 6:40 PM, Seeck moved to adjourn, Messner 2nd, all present aye motion carried.
