City of Newhall
Regular Meeting
Monday, April 22, 2024 – 6:00 PM

Mayor Boddicker opened the regular meeting at 6:00 PM.
Roll Call: Council Present: Seeck, Cross, Wendel, Messner, Rinderknecht
Approval of the Agenda: Motion by Cross, 2nd by Wendel approving the agenda all yes, motion carried.
Department Reports
Public Works – Mowing; concession stand drinking fountain was repaired; slide at west park replaced; starter in cub cadet replaced.
Fire – Met with fire truck rep tonight.
Mayor – Ramp is ADA compatible; a piece is on order to fix the lip; Chiropractor appreciates the City contributing towards the ramp but declined.
Zoning – a couple follow-ups to occur on some cement slabs in town.
Council – still working with attorney on vacate of alley; next letter/assessment of homes not complying with city ordinances will involve the city attorney and possible court appearances; Rinderknecht Construction needs to complete the curb and gutter, and water and sewer lines so we can finish the road work; Doug Rinderknecht will speak with them. Two meetings in May will begin at 6:30 rather than 6:00 pm.
City Clerk – new homes across from the Post Office are wondering about curb and gutter that was on the plans submitted to the City; BS Landscaping will be here Saturday, May 11th and will be cleaning up bump outs.
Library – Storytime STEM-pack class will be this summer; Volunteer Appreciation Day is April 26th from 9-12; Summer reading program will be the month of July; Benton Co Conservation program is July 23rd at 4pm; Redheaded Reptiles is scheduled for August 10th at 10:30; Absolute Science will be doing 3 programs, 7/1 (Foam Cannon) at 5:30, 7/8 (Magic Show) at 5:00, and 7/29 (Bubble Program) at 4:30.
Parks – New uniforms are on order; need lime on field; Chevy test drive program has started. Consent Agenda and Bill Consent: Motion by Wendel, 2nd by Messner to approve the minutes from April 8, 2024, and bills totaling $24,008.55, all present aye, motion carried.
