STATE OF IOWA: COUNTY OF IOWA June 21, 2024
The Iowa County Board of Supervisors met on June 21, 2024. Heitshusen, Chairman called the meeting to order at 9:00 a.m. Degen, Heitshusen, Maas, Montross and Schumacher were present.
Motion by Maas, seconded by Montross to approve the agenda. All aye, motion carried.
Motion by Montross, seconded by Maas to approve minutes from June 14, 2024. All aye,
motion carried.
Chair Notes: The board approved handwritten claims paid with warrant numbers 31816, 32000
– 32001 and payroll paid with warrant numbers 31818 – 31999. Manure Management Plan
received from Donald Miller, Facility # 70960.
Motion by Maas, seconded by Montross to pass, adopt and approve Resolution # 2024-06-21
to Authorize Transfer from Flex Fund to General Basic – Repayment of Interfund Loan Temporary Operating Loan $10,000.00 as follows:

Resolution For Inter-Fund Temporary Operating Loan Repayment
WHEREAS, Resolution 2023-07-14 A, executed by Iowa County Board of Supervisors on July
14, 2023 authorized an inter-fund temporary operating loan is in accordance with Section
331:432 of the Code of Iowa. Repayment to be executed with Resolution to transfer from Fund
01000 (General Basic), and
WHEREAS, and repay inter-fund temporary operating loan in the sum of $10,000.00 to Fund
86000 (Flex Fund), and
NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved by the Board of Supervisors of Iowa County, Iowa, as
follows:
The sum of Ten Thousand Dollars ($10,000.00) is ordered to be repaid/transferred from Fund
86000 (Flex Fund) to Fund 01000 (General Basic).
It is Further Resolved that the County Treasurer change her records accordingly to show this
interfund loan repayment.
All aye, motion carried.
Motion by Maas, seconded by Montross to approve Certificate of Adjustment of Tax List
Item – Parcel # 730405010. All aye, motion carried.
Motion by Maas, seconded by Degen to pass, adopt and approve Resolution # 2024-06-21 A
to Authorize Disbursement to City of Marengo for the construction of a swimming pool as
follows:

Resolution Authorizing Disbursement to City of Marengo for the
Construction of a Swimming Pool
WHEREAS, today Friday June 21, 2024, the Iowa County Board of Supervisors
does hereby authorize the disbursement of $40,000.00 to the City of Marengo, for
the construction of a swimming pool, per Pledge Agreement executed on October
25, 2022.
WHEREAS, the City of Marengo, Iowa, agrees that it will apply the contribution
received in accordance with its tax-exempt purposes and further agrees and
acknowledges that the amount pledged and paid will be used by the City of
Marengo, Iowa, for the sole purpose of the construction of a swimming pool
within the City of Marengo, Iowa.
NOW THEREFORE, it be resolved by the Iowa County Board of Supervisors
authorizes the Iowa County Auditor to issue a disbursement of $40,000.00 on or
before July 1, 2024, payable to the City of Marengo for the sole purpose of the
construction of a swimming pool within the City of Marengo, Iowa.
All ye, motion carried.
Nick Amelon, Iowa County Engineer met with the board to present department update on
construction, road maintenance, and office miscellaneous.
Chairman Heitshusen opened FY 24-25 LP Bids received from Multi-County for $1.19 and New
Century for $1.199.
Motion by Maas, seconded by Montross to approve FY 24-25 LP Bid received from MultiCounty for $1.19/gal. All aye, motion carried.
Recess at 9:34 a.m.
Chairman called meeting back to order at 9:40 a.m.
Dan Lillis, Lillis Insurance met with the board with presentation of 7/1/2024 Insurance
Comparison. No board action was taken. The board will have the topic on next weeks agenda.
Motion by Schumacher, seconded by Maas to adjourn at 10:25 a.m. All aye, motion carried.
