Other business
In other business at the board meeting:
The board approved revised minutes from the June 25 meeting. Supervisor Chairman Richard Primmer told the board that they had agreed to print only resolutions and action items in their minutes. The last minutes had discussion items that he felt were not needed.
HRIS (Human Resources Information System) software was approved, 2-1. The program is from Rippling. This deals with recruiting, on-boarding, applicant tracking and performance management. This is cloud based, and can be customized for each office. Voting no, Supervisor Tracy Seeman expressed concerns about terms, warranties and disclaimers. The cost is $30,000 a year.
The supervisors met with historical preservation officials about office space at the service center. Documentation needs to be done that is time sensitive. While their space is moved, the commission wants to be sure the county is looking for a space for them. They are now in the service center. Handbook revisions were approved.
A fireworks permit was approved for Watkins Community Athletic Association on July 6.
