Strengths / Concerns of this year’s team

Strength of the team is very good skilled players with varsity experience and success returning four full-time starters and one part-time starter in the backfield and at 1 end position. Concerns of the team are lack of depth with just 18 healthy players on the roster.

Coach Todd Bohlen Comments on the conference race

I would think the district race should be wide open with some very good teams all having a chance to compete for the title in Moravia, Montezuma, BGM and ourselves once again. This will be Belle Plaine’s just second year of 8-Man football after seeing our enrollment and participation numbers drop significantly. We open the season with Clarksville where my brother Darren is in just his third year of coaching 8-man football as well. We lost a close opening game to them last year 32-34 on the road and should be the makings of another very tight and competitive game if both teams can stay healthy.
