Laura Junge had seven assists. Mabry Sadler added hree. The team as 13 of 63 for kills with 11 errors. Aubrey Kelly had four kills. Benton had 23 digs. With five each were Junge, Anna Embretson and Haiden Moore. The team was 28 of 35 for serves with no aces. Junge was 8 of 9. Embretson was 4 of 5. Moore was 5 of 6. Kennedy Lohrer was 2 of 3. Talulah Schroeder was 5 of 7. Callan Keiper was 2 of 3. Mabry Sadler was 2 of 3. Grinnell was 35 of 80 for kills with 13 errors. Grinnell was 66 of 73 for serves with 12 aces.

Sadler was 2 of 2. North Scott was 18 of 31 for kills with eight errors. the team was 36 of 39 for serves with 11 aces.

Benton (5-13) hosts Vinton-Shellsburg (6-16) on Tuesday, Sept. 24, at 7:30 p.m.  They host No. 11 Marion (13-8) on Thursday, Sept. 26, at Van Horne.

Benton had 88 yards in passing. Brenden Heying was 7 of 13 for 68 yards and one touchdown. Colton Kroneman was 0 for 1. Eli Patterson was 1 of 5 for 20 yards and two interceptions.

The Bobcats had 141 yards rushing. Mayson Mitchell had one carry for one yards. Brenden Heying had 16 carries for 89 yards. Dylan LeFebvere had 18 carries for 46 yards. Eli Patterson had four carries for five yards. 

Brody Zimmerman had two catches for 17 yards. Gavin Brooks had two catches for 25 yards. LeFebvere had one catch for 16 yards. Eli Patterson had three catches for 30 yards and one touchdown.

Grant Voleksy had 6.5 total tackles with six solo tackles. With six total tackles each were Brenden Heying and Blayke Heying. Brenden had three solo. Blayke had four solo. Cater Holmes had four solo. 

Timmerman had one interception. Eli Patterson had two interceptions with return yardage of 49 yards. Logan Upah had four kickoff returns for 60 yards. He had two punt returns. 

Elijah Kupka had three kickoffs for 149 yards and one touchback. He was 1 for 1 for points after touchdown. He had four punts for 159 yards. 

Clear Creek Amana had 160 yards passing and 205 yards rushing.

Cross Country

Benton runs at the Vinton-Shellsburg XC Invitational on Tuesday, Sept. 24, at the Vinton Country Club. Benton travels to Jesus on Tuesday, Oct. 1. The meet starts at 5:15 p.m.
