City of Atkins City Council Meeting Special Session
Tuesday, October 1, 2024 at 6:30 p.m.
City Hall Council Room, 480 Third Avenue, Atkins, Iowa, 52206

Mayor Bruce Visser called the meeting to order at 6:30 pm.
Present were Council members EJ Bell, Trevor Dursky, David Fisher, Samantha. Petersen, and Jim Koehn. Also present was Interim City Administrator Sandi Fowler, and members of the public.
Graham Valdes with Express Employment Professionals, Specialized Recruiting Group,
led the City Council in a work session discussion regarding the city administrator search, including development of a job description and posting.
Council member David Fisher moved to adjourn the meeting, Council member Bell. seconded. Ayes: Bell, Dursky, Fisher, Petersen and Koehn. Motion carried. Meeting adjourned at 7:55 pm.

Mayor Bruce Visser called the meeting to order at 6:34 pm.
Present were Council members EJ Bell and Jim Koehn, with Samantha Petersen joining at 6:36 pm by phone. Council members Trevor Dursky and David Fisher were absent.
Also present was Interim City Administrator Sandi Fowler and members of the public.
Council member Koehn moved Resolution 2024-09-08 to approve the city employee. hire for the utility billing clerk position. Council member Bell seconded the motion. Ayes: Bell, Petersen and Koehn. Nays: None. Motion carried.
Koehn moved to adjourn the meeting. Bell seconded. Ayes: Bell, Petersen and Koehn.
Nays: None. Motion carried. Meeting adjourned at 6:38 pm.
