Regular Meeting
Monday, November 25, 2024 – 6:00 PM
Mayor Boddicker opened the regular meeting at 6:00 PM.
Roll Call: Council Present: Seeck, Messner, Rinderknecht, Cross, Wendel
Approval of the Agenda: Motion by Rinderknecht, 2nd Messner approving the agenda, all yes, motion carried.
Department Reports
Public Works – Plow truck has been repaired; dump truck has enough salt for snow; radio reads have all be installed; Christmas lights will be put up this week.
Council – Pictures of Newhall Seniors – Rinderknecht will speak with school.
Fire – We did not get the air tank grant, Trent will be applying again; Thank you to Atkins, Van Horne, and Norway for assisting with a house fire in town.
Parks – Working on grant application for field work; cage net will be coming down soon; still have several missing jerseys.
Library – Jeannie Berry will be moving to Cedar Rapids; a new board member will be needed in January of 2025 Consent Agenda and Bill Consent: Motion by Rinderknecht, 2nd by Seeck to approve the minutes from November 11, 2024, and bills totaling $21,641.26, all present aye, motion carried.

a. Council Action:
Motion by Rinderknecht, 2nd by Messner approving Resolution 2024-20, variance to allow properties located at 10 B Avenue and 14 B Avenue to install their fence on the lot line, roll call vote all yes, motion carried.
Adjournment: At 6:14 PM, Seeck moved to adjourn, Messner 2nd, all present aye motion carried.
