Benton County Solid Waste Disposal Commission
December 19, 2024 Meeting Minutes

The Regular meeting of the Benton County Solid Waste Disposal Commission was held Thursday December 19, 2024 at the Van Horne Community Center. Present was Brian McNulty, Blairstown, Eric Werner, Landfill Manager, Alicia Presto, ECICOG, Lyle Morrow, Belle Plaine, Jared Vogeler, Van Horne, Mike Seeck, County, Bruce Visser, Atkins, Tracy Seeman, County, Nancy Jensen, County, Loras Schulte, Norway, Jen Zahradnik, County and Bruce Cross, Newhall.
The meeting was called to order by Loras Schulte at 6:30 PM.
Motion made by Morrow, seconded by Jensen to approve the November 21, 2024 minutes. All Ayes.
The Treasurer’s Report was given. Motion made by Morrow, seconded by Jensen to accept the Treasurer’s Report. All Ayes.
The Landfill Manager’s Report included equipment repairs, finalized lagoon layout, next cell layout and HHR training. Motion made by Visser, seconded by Seeck to accept the Landfill Manager’s Report.
The ECICOG report included HHM Fire Suppression Grant information, upcoming training and an employee update. Motion made by Seeman, seconded by Cross to accept the ECICOG report. All Ayes.
Motion made by Seeman, seconded by Vogeler to approve Resolution 2024-12-01: Approval of Expenditures. All Ayes.
Motion made by Morrow, seconded by Jensen to approve Resolution 2024-12-02: Approval of Transfer of Funds between Savings/Checking. All Ayes.
Motion made by Seeman, seconded by Seeck to approve Resolution 2024-12-03: Approval of Transfer of Funds to Capital Accounts. All Ayes.
Motion made by Seeman, seconded by Visser to have the chairperson sign the grant for a fire suppression system. All Ayes.
Motion made by Morrow, seconded by Visser to approve the set aside account adjustments. All Ayes.
Motion to adjourn made by Seeck, seconded by Zahradnik. All Ayes. Meeting adjourned at 6:51PM.
