City Council Regular Meeting
Monday, January 27, 2025 – 6:00 PM
Mayor Boddicker opened the regular meeting at 6:00 PM.
Roll Call: Council Present: Messner, Cross, Wendel, Rinderknecht, Seeck
Approval of the Agenda: Motion by Cross, 2nd Messner approving the agenda, all present yes, motion carried.
Department Reports
Public Works: Salted and sanded around town; no issues to report
Fire: Rec’d 3rd Place at Coralville Water Ball Tournament
Mayor: House located at 604 3rd Street E was called in because owners have left town, and several cats were seen in the window. Benton County Sheriff’s office obtained a search warrant and retrieved 10 live cats from the residence.
Linn County Humane Society took the cats. The owner of the residence is in contact with the Human Society.
Additional information to follow after report is received from the Sherriff’s office. The trailer needs to be moved from the parking area/apartment located on the corner of 1st Street and 1st Avenue.
Parks: New scoreboard will be installed in the spring.
Consent Agenda and Bill Consent: Motion by Rinderknecht, 2nd by Seeck to approve the minutes from January 13, 2025, and bills totaling $14,102.74, all present aye, motion carried.

Council Action:
A. Motion by Wendel, 2nd by Rinderknecht approving Dixie Byers to the Library Board, all yes, motion carried.
B. Shriners using the concession stand July 3rd was tabled until the 1st meeting in May
C. 1st Reading adding to #9 “New fences installed on the property line require a survey prior to approval from the Zoning Administrator”, motion by Seeck, 2nd by Messner, roll call vote all yes, motion carried.

Adjournment: At 6:24 PM, Seeck moved to adjourn, Messner 2nd, all present aye motion carried.

Monday, February 3, 2025 – 1:00 PM
Mayor Boddicker opened the special meeting at 1:00 PM.
Roll Call: Council Present: Messner, Cross, Rinderknecht, Seeck
Approval of the Agenda: Motion by Cross, 2nd by Rinderknecht approving the agenda, all present yes, motion carried.
Council Action:
A. Discussion of the FY26 Budget expenditures and revenue occurred.
Adjournment: At 2:43 PM, Messner moved to adjourn, Cross 2nd, all present aye motion carried.
