Benton County Conservation Board Meeting
Monday, April 14th, 2025 at 5:30pm
Benton County Nature Center, 5718 20th Ave Drive, Vinton, IA
Board Members Present: Becky VanWey, Sam Hunter, Dan Hill, Randy Scheel, Supervisor Liaison: Tracey Seeman & Board of Supervisor Ron Tippett
Staff Present: Will Souer, Camryn Grubic, Zach Parmater, Shelby Williams, Eric Schares, Cara Harrill, Cecilia, Dirks, Faith Hunt, Aaron Askelson

1. Call to Order at 5:36 pm by VanWey
2. Discuss/Action Consent Agenda – Motion to approve by Scheel, seconded by Hunter. All aye, motion passed.
3. Guests or public participation (kept to a maximum of 3 minutes, the Board will not take any action on public comments at this meeting but may do so in future meetings). – None
4. Business
   a. Swear-in Officer Souer
   b. Tri-County Snowmobile MOU – Motion to approve by Hill, seconded by Hunter. All aye, motion passed.
   c. IRVM Plan – Motion to approve by Scheel, seconded by Hill. All Aye, motion passed.
   d. Vacation – Hill made a motion to increase the Roadside Managers vacation to add an additional week in lieu of compensation time, seconded by Scheel. All Aye, motion passed.
   e. Tree Canopy Replant Bids: No action.
   f. Atkins Roundhouse Area: Scheel made a motion to reopen Atkins Roundhouse at a date that is appropriately determined by Conservation staff, seconded by Hill. All aye, motion passed.
   g. Leash-less Areas: No action.
   h. VFW Post/Animal Shelter: No action.
