Regular meeting of the Norway City Council was called to order by Mayor Loras Schulte at 5:30pm
PM. Roll Call – Present: Christopher Van Horn, Darrell Schulte, Robby Miller, Michael Schulte & Shawn Rudie. Absent: None.
Motion R. Miller to approve the agenda, minutes, bills, and treasurer’s report presented. Seconded by D. Schulte. Motion carried 5-0.
Fire Chief Aaric Rust was present to discuss the Fire Department’s current budget and the expenses causing the department to be over budget for the current fiscal year.
Motion D. Schulte to pass and approve the first reading of Ordinance Amendment No. 346 Amending Chapter 92- Water Rates. This amendment increases all water rates by 20%, excluding debt reduction. Seconded by M. Schulte. Motion carried 5-0.
Amending Chapter 3 – Municipal Infractions – to include a schedule of fines for violations was again discussed. Motion S. Rudie to approve the city’s building inspector, Josh Beeh, to send letters to four homeowners notifying them of violations and property safety concerns. Seconded by D. Schulte. Motion carried 5-0.
The sewer line at 118 Euclid Ave (previously 114 Euclid Ave) has been capped by a licensed plumber.
Motion S. Rudie to adjourn at 6:56pm. Seconded by C. Van Horn. Motion carried 5-0.
