Benton had 18 hits. Moore was 3 for 4 with one RBI. Greiner was 3 for 3 with three doubles and three RBIs. Glawe was 2 for 3 with a double, home run and four RBIs. Calista Nolte was 2 for 4 with one RBI. Marissa Nolte was 3 for 4 with a double and three RBIs. DeMoss stole one base. Moore threw for four innings, allowed three hits, one earned run, walked one, hit one batter and struck out five.

Benton (14-11) travels to No. 12 Grinnell (24-4) on Monday, June 30. Benton hosts No. 15 Center Point-Urbana (17-12) on Wednesday, July 2. On Thursday, July 13, Benton hosts Solon (16-12).

On Thursday, July 10, Benton hosts Iowa Falls-Alden at 7 p.m., for the start of the Class 3A Region 4 tournament. The winner goes on to play in round two on Saturday, July 12, at 7 p.m. at Van Horne.
