Benton County Conservation Board Meeting
Monday, October 13, 2025 at 5:30pm
Benton County Nature Center 5718 20th Ave Drive, Vinton, IA

1. Called to order by Becky VanWey at 5:30 pm
2. Motion to approve agenda made by Randy Scheel seconded by Sam Hunter all aye, motion passed
3. Guests or public participation (kept to a maximum of 3 minutes, the Board will not take any action on public comments at this meeting but may do so in future meetings. Koehn gave a statement on Atkins Roundhouse.
4. Discuss/Action Consent Agenda: Motion made to consent agenda by Scheel seconded by LaGrange all aye, motion passed
   a. Approve minutes from last regular meeting
   b. Approve Conservation and IRM expenditures and revenues
   c. Receive and file activity report
   d. Tabled Items
   i. City of Atkins – Atkins Roundhouse: Lease
5. Business:
   a. Discuss/Action Annual Report – LaGrange makes motion to accept and file the annual report with the necessary changes seconded by Hunter all aye, motion passed
   b. Discuss Conservation Easement
   c. Discuss Animal Shelter/Cherveny
6. Board Member/Staff Reports

   c. Law Enforcement Update – Grubic provided update

7. Set next regular meeting in November 17, 2025 at 5:30 pm, at the Nature Center
8. Motion to adjourn by Scheel at seconded by LaGrange 6:09 pm
