The board followed with budget work. They discussed a list of annual appointments for the new calendar year. Supervisor Ron Tippett said he had visited with the sheriff about starting a fund for projects needed on the sheriff’s building. They talked about a fund that will roll over year after year.
They also talked about air conditioning and heating for the facility. Tippett added exterior work is needed.
Deputy Auditor Gina Edler explained how the general supplemental fund works. This is something the auditor can use for election equipment. Funds may also be designated to a specific project. This way it can be tracked throughout the year. She said this was just food for thought.
They also talked about building up a reserve fund for workmen’s compensation insurance.
