Vinton-Shellsburg was 8 of 34 for field goals, 2 of 10 for three-pointers, and 13 of 24 for free throws. They had 28 rebounds, six assists, 10 steals, three blocks 25 turnovers and 13 fouls.

Kelly had 21 points, Avery Kramer added 13 points. With six rebounds each were Kelly and Schroeder. Sophia Seeck had eight assists. Hailey Suiter had two blocks.

Monticello was 9 of 43 for field goals, 2 of 13 for three-pointers and 7 of 13 for free throws. They had 29 rebounds, two assists, six steals, one block, 8 turnovers and 13 fouls.

On Tuesday Feb. 3, Benton travels to Clear Creek Amana (13-0) with the game starting at 6 p.m. Benton hosts Williamsburg (11-4) on Friday, Feb. 6, at Van Horne. Action starts at 6:30 p.m.

Eli Patterson had 11 points for Benton and eight rebounds. Carson Pickering had two steals. Patterson and Cole Junge had two blocks each.

Vinton-Shellsburg was 26 of 56 for field goals, 9 of 23 for three-pointers, and 14 of 18 for free throws. They had 30 rebounds, 21 assists, 10 steals, five blocks, 12 turnovers and 16 fouls. Kade Sutton led Vinton-Shellsburg with 26 points.

Eli Patterson led Benton with 23 points. Brooks Mitchell-Birdsell added 12 points and Jack Lange had 10 points. Patterson had 14 rebounds. Lange had three assists. With two steals each were Lange and Patterson. Patterson added three blocks.

Grinnell was 22 of 64 for field goals, 7 of 27 for three-pointers and 3 of 10 for free throws. They had 35 rebounds, nine assists, eight steals, one block, 13 turnovers and 16 fouls. Ade Wolfe led Grinnell with 16 points.

Monticello was 15 of 40 for field goals, 8 of 25 for three-pointers and 15 of 16 for free throws. They had 27 rebounds, 12 assists, five steals, one block, seven turnovers and 11 fouls. Conley Schauf had 22 points for Monticello.

They travel to Clear Creek Amana (11-5) on Tuesday, Feb. 3, and host Williamsburg (3-13) on Friday, Feb. 6.
