Bruce Volz, R-Norway, is running for the third-district supervisor seat in the June 4 Republican Primary.

He stated, “I grew up in Norway and graduated High School in 1976. I worked at United Airlines for 26 years. After United left the Cedar Rapids Airport, I started a Commercial Janitorial service in 2003. I sold that company in 2014. I am currently an Independent Insurance Broker selling Auto/Home/Life/Health Insurance.

“I started the Prairie Creek Chapter of Pheasants Forever in Benton County and served as President for 35 years. I currently sit on the State Pheasants Forever Board. I sat on the Norway City Council for two years, and then ran for Mayor. I served as Mayor of Norway from January 2020 – 2024.

“I will turn 66 on June 17th. I have served on committees and boards most of my adult life.”
