BC, BP open girls’ basketball seasons

Belle Plaine 43, HLV 36

Olivia Bohlen led Belle Plaine with 14 points. Alyssa Tegeler added 11 and Jenna Fry had 10. Tegeler had 13 rebounds. Bohlen added 20. Bohlen also had 7 assists. Tegeler had 3 steals. Jacy Gates had 4 blocks. The team was 16 of 60 from the field, and 2 of 5 for three-pointers. Belle Plaine was 9 of 19 from the line. The team had 46 rebounds.

Tuesday, Nov. 26 at Van Horne

No. 2 Marion 61, Benton 24

After leading, 7-4, in the first quarter, No. 2 Marion rallied for 18 points in the second, 233 in the third and 17 in the fourth for a WaMaC win. Jenna Twedt led Benton with 8 points. With 5 rebounds each were Twedt and Alyse Harvey. Twedt had two assists. The team was 9 of 34 in shooting, 2 of 15 for three-pointers, and had 30 rebounds.
