EV History Center Programs for 2020

The English Valleys History Center at 108 N. Main St. in North English will be opening its doors again to area citizens who are interested in historical/cultural programming. With nearly 100 programs available to a variety of audiences in the last nine years, there is no charge for admission. Donations are accepted.

The EVHC Board of Directors is pleased to be able to provide these educational, entertaining programs for yet another year.

  • Sunday, January 19: PTO Presents a Family Film Matinee – 2:00 p.m.
  • Sunday, February 16: Dr. Wayne Richenbacher – “Stonewall Jackson and Civil War Medicine” – 2 p.m.
  • Sunday, March 22: Peter Hoehnle – Memories of Abraham Lincoln – 2:00
  • Sunday, April 26: J.O. Parker ­ “The history of postcards” – 2:00
  • Sunday, June 28: Dr. Barbara Brown – “Old and Creepy Dolls” – 2:00
  • Sunday, July 26: Amy Smith – “The Adventures of Amy Smith” – 2:00
  • Sunday, August 30: Linda McCann – “Prisoners of War in Iowa” – 2:00
  • Sunday, September 20: Russ Fry – “Blackhawk’s final resting place” – 2:00
  • Sunday, October 25: Brad Wilkening – “Lessons of the Holocaust” – 2:00
  • Sunday, November 22: Michael Zahs – “Constructing and Living in a Log Home” – 2:00 p.m.
  • Saturday, December 5: “English River Christmas Tour of Homes”
