VINTON, IA– Virginia Gay Hospital’s Nursing and Rehab has once again achieved compliance ratings for Medicaid and Medicare through the Health Inspection division of Iowa Department of Inspections, the state organization conducting compliance inspections for Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.
Passing the inspection for CMS is necessary for long term care facilities to participate in the Medicare or Medicaid programs. VGH Nursing and Rehab was found to be in substantial compliance and congratulated for the work required to maintain compliance.
VGH Administrator, Michele Schoonover complimented the staff for their achievement. “Achieving this designation requires the commitment of every staff member to provide for patient safety and quality of services. Once again, VGH Nursing and Rehab has been rewarded for our efforts on behalf of patients.”
In recent years, Virginia Gay Nursing and Rehab has also received numerous Pinnacle customer service awards and a National Healthcare Safety Network Certificate of Achievement. Virginia Gay Nursing & Rehab is listed as a top 10% of Nursing Homes in the U.S. (NNHQCC), among others. A list of those awards can be found on www.myvgh.org/nursing-rehab.
