SPEAKING OF WATER BILLS…. City ordinances require that customers not paying their water bills by the 15th of every month be penalized 10% of their current balance. Customers who are delinquent three months in a 12 MONTH PERIOD are penalized an additional $50 for every month after 3 months that they are delinquent. Checks returned to the City of Newhall will have a $30 return check charge. If after the 20th of the month the bill is still delinquent and the city is required to shut services off, there is a $25 reconnect fee and a $35 after hours charge for reconnection. If you want to have your water bill deducted from your checking account on the 15th of every month, please contact City Hall. This can eliminate all of the additional charges.

Best way to eliminate those ugly late fees is paying on time. We can assist in setting you up with an auto deduction or you can pay online through our website.
