To the citizens of Van Horne!
I would like to update some issues that now affect our residents. As of this morning, March 18th, it has been decided to close the Library for a couple weeks, then we will reevaluate and decide how to proceed at that time.
With the governor issuing a mandate that all bars and restaurants close for in-house use that affects a couple businesses in town, the Depot Express (319-228-8357) will remain open for carryout food and other merchandise — just no eating in the facility.
The Crooked Antler (319-228-8200) will be open their normal hours for carryout food. Keep In mind that if business is slow they may close at 8 p.m.
These are trying times for all citizens and all businesses but please try to support the food establishments in town by ordering food to go.
On another subject, if in need I have an extra box of 90 rolls of toilet paper at O’Grady’s. Feel free to stop by and take a couple rolls if you need them.
Thanks and try to keep calm and limit your exposure as much as possible.
Your Mayor Marty
