Notice of Public Hearing: National Register Nomination

Preston Station, Belle Plaine

The Preston Station Historic District also known as G.W. Preston’s Filling Station; George Preston’s Service Station; and Preston’s Corner located at the corner of 4th Avenue and 13th Street in Belle Plaine, Iowa has been nominated to the National Register of Historic Places.

The Benton County Historic Preservation Commission will hold a public hearing on this nomination on June 4, 2020 at 7:00pm at the Benton County Service Center located at 811 D Ave. Vinton, IA. At this meeting the Benton County Historic Preservation Commission will consider public comments and make a recommendation to the Iowa State Historic Preservation Office.
