
Don “DA” Anderson was formally recognized with the Robert D. Ray Educator of Character as a presentation on Tuesday, Feb. 2, 2021, at halftime of the girls’ basketball game against Tri-County. Anderson was announcing at the game.
A spokesperson said the Robert D. Ray Iowa Character Award recognizes organizations and individuals who not only exemplify great character in their life, but help to build and develop the lives of others.
Only one teacher is recognized each year.
Anderson said at the presentation on Feb. 2 at the basketball game.
The spokesperson pointed out that as part of the on-line presentation, since a banquet couldn’t be held, a NASA Scientist and someone who works with Utah Jazz told of the impact Anderson had on their lives.
