The Belle Plaine City Council met in special session on September 20, 2021, at 6:00 p.m. at the Belle Plaine Community Center to allow for social distancing, with Mayor Dave Fish presiding. Present: Mary Pech, Judy Schlesselman, and Mitch Malcolm. Garrett Landuyt arrived at 6:03 p.m. Mark Tegeler was absent. Also present: City Administrator Stephen Beck and City Clerk Jacki McDermott.
Motion by Malcolm, to approve the agenda, seconded by Schlesselman. On roll call, all voted aye. Motion carried.
The city had a public meeting with Cynthia Miller of 508 7th Street, concerning the city’s order of their dog to be removed from the city. Motion by Schlesselman, seconded by Malcolm to allow the Millers to keep the dog if it is confined to their own yard, or on a leash or lead at all times, when outside. Training is recommended. If another incident of attacking a human or animal occurs, the dog must be removed from the city. On roll call vote, all voted aye, motion carried.

Motion by Landuyt to adjourn the meeting, seconded by Malcolm. On roll call, all voted aye. Meeting adjourned at 6:53 p.m.
