Routine business for the Benton supervisors

VINTON – It was routine business for the Benton County Board of Supervisors at their meeting Tuesday, Oct. 26, at the service center in Vinton.

The urban renewal report was approved.

The board discussed and approved a credit card and limit for maintenance. The limit is $2,500.

A Class C Liquor License was approved for BEV the BARbarian LLP. It is a five-day permit. This is a mobile bar for an event in rural Vinton.

The board discussed an open records request from a local resident. It will be on the agenda for the next meeting.

Jennifer Fencl of East Central Iowa Council of Governments met with the board regarding the Middle Cedar Watershed Management Authority. There is a change order for the Jorgensen site regarding pipe and tile lines. There were also contract amendments with ECICOG and University of Iowa Flood Center. The contracts are extended to June 30, 2022.

The board looked at maps for a proposed Tax Increment Financing (TIF) project in the Belle Plaine area.
