Benton lost in WaMaC action to Maquoketa. The team was 19 of 45 from the field, 6 of 17 for three-pointers and 14 of 30 for free throws. Benton had 43 rebounds, 12 assists, three steals and 31 turnovers. Aiden Harris led Benton with 12 points. Noah Franck added 11 and Derek Steffen had 10. Harris had 11 rebounds. Steffen had four assists. Harris had two steals. Isaac Cretin had two blocks.

Benton to Grinnell in non-conference action on Dec. 4. The team was 14 of 43 for field goals, 9 of 20 for three-pointers and 7 of 11 for free throws. They had 31 rebounds, 12 assists, three steals, blocked two shots and had 21 turnovers. Blake Daugherty led Benton with 12 points. Evan Daugherty had 10. Harris had 10 rebounds and five assists. Harris also had two steals.

Jenna Twedt scored 26 for Benton, with 4 of 11 shooting for three-pointers. McKenna Kramer added scored 12, and was 4 of 12 for three-pointers. Zoey Junge had six rebounds. With two assists each were Emma Townsley, Kramer and Piper Nelson. Townsley had seven steals. The team was 14 of 56 for field goals, 10 of 35 for three-pointers and 8 of 11 for free throws. Benton had 30 rebounds, 10 assists, 15 steals and eight turnovers.

Emma Townsley and McKenna Kramer had nine points each for Benton against No. 8 Dallas Center Grimes. Grace Embretson had five rebounds. Jenna Twedt had two steals. The team was 7 of 37 from the field, 3 of 22 for three-pointers and 10 of 16 for three-pointers. Benton had 25 rebounds, five assists, four steals and 10 turnovers.

Benton (3-2) hosts West Delaware (0-3) Friday, Dec. 10, in Van Horne.

Jenna Fry led Belle Plaine with 13 points. Bree Shaull added 12. Mandy Chizek had 10 rebounds. Olivia Bohlen added nine. Fry had four assists. Shaull had five steals. Bohlen blocked three shots. The team had 32 rebounds, nine assists, 14 steals and blocked six shots. The team had 27 turnovers.

Belle Plaine (1-2) travels to Tri-County (2-2) on Tuesday, Dec. 7, and plays at Sigourney (1-2) on Friday, Dec. 10.

With two steals each were Wyatt Kuch and Keaton Parrott. The team was 16 of 47 for field goals, 6 of 21 for three-pointers and 12 of 23 for free throws. The team had 43 revbunds, 12 assists, and six steals. The team had 18 turnovers.

Belle Plaine (3-0) travels to Tri-County (0-3) on Tuesday, Dec. 7, and to Sigourney (0-2) on Friday, Dec. 10.
