VINTON – Budget work continued with the Benton County Board of Supervisors at their Wednesday, Jan. 12, 2022, meeting at the service center in Vinton.
Meeting with the board about their 2022-23 budgets were maintenance, recorder’s office, conservation, IT/GIS (information technology and global information system), weed commission, human resources, East Central Iowa Housing Trust Fund and Department of Human Services. No action was taken.
Kirsten Nelson, Human Resources Director, also updated the board on the OHSA ruling and how if affects Benton County. The county offices will not have to get vaccination information or require testing.
Dale Henry was reappointed to the veterans affairs commission.
Vacation carryover was approved for Benton County Engineer Myron Parizek.
Appointed to the Iowa Roadside Vegetation Management board were Luke Hennings, Jeff Ralston, Ann Jorgensen, Becky Van Wey and Wes Haefner.
Supervisor Richard Primmer was not at the meeting.
