BC girls edge Solon to advance in regional basketball

Class 4A Regional Semifinal

Benton (18-5) 59, Solon (15-8) 52

Jenna Twedt led Benton with 24 points. She was 4 for 5 in three-point shooting. Emma Townsley added 11 points. With eight rebounds each were Zoey Junge and Grace Embretson. Twedt had four steals. With three assists each were Twedt and Embretson.

Callie Levin led Solon with 21 points.

Benton travels to Grinnell (19-3) in the regional championship on Tuesday, Feb. 22. The game starts at 7 p.m.
