Benton Community traveled to Xavier on Saturday, June 4, and picked up a non-conference win.

It was a good day at the plate as Benton had 11 hits. Emma Townsley was 1 for 4. Hope More was 1 for 3 with a double and one RBI. Ana Glawe was 1 for 4 with a double and three RBIs. Gabby McKee was 2 for 4 with a double and two RBIs. Hanna Greiner was 2 for 4 with one RBI. Sarah Gorkow was 2 for 4 with one RBI. Jaida Lyons was 2 for 2. They had one errors. Winning pitcher Jessa DeMoss threw for seven innings, allowed eight hits, four earned runs, three walks, hit one batter and struck out five.

Benton travels to Clear Creek Amana on Monday, June 6, plays at Mount Mercy against Marion on Wednesday, June 8, and plays Waverly-Shell Rock in a JV/V game at Waverly on Thursday, June 9.
