Belle Plaine’s baseball team (7-10) won its first round game over GMG (8-13-1). Belle Plaine had 10 hits. Rhett Parrott was 1 for 2 with one RBI. Connor Timm was 1 for 4. Ty Alcott was 3 for 4 with a double, triple and two RBIs. Jack Schwenn was 1 for 4 with a double and one RBI. Will Sankot was 2 for 5 with two RBIs. Gavin Ward was 1 for 4 with one RBI. Nate Hoover was 1 for 4 with one RBI. Belle Plaine had three errors. Keaton Parrott was the winning pitcher, throwing for six innings, allowing three hits, three runs (one earned), walking eight and striking out six. Wade Sankot threw for one inning, allowed two hits, one run, and struck out one.
