Belle Plaine (14-13) lost in nine innings in Class 1A softball tourney action to Springville (22-13), 5-4. Belle Plaine had five hits. Olivia Bohlen was 2 for 3 with a double and one RBI. Breann Cook was 1 of 4. Alivia Haack was 1 for 2. Izzy Sankot was 1 for 4. Judy Campbell was 1 for 3. The team had five errors. Breanna Cook threw for 8 2/3 innings, allowing 10 hits, five runs (two earned), walked two and struck out six.

Springville will play at No. 3 Lisbon (33-4) on Friday, July 8, at the Lisbon City Park. The final is July 11.
