• Rushing – Sam Wallace, 3 carries for 32 yards. Brenden Heying, 1 for -1 yards. Aidan Gallery, 6 for 17 yards. Blake Heying, 1 for 44 yards. Carson Bruns, 24 for 170 yards, 4 touchdowns. Easton Pfiffner, 3 for 52 yards, 1 touchdown. Benton had 313 yards rushing.
• Receiving – Sam Wallace, 3 for 69 yards. Carson Bruns, 1 for 7 yards. Easton Pfiffner, 2 for 30 yards.
• Defense highlights – Brennen Blegen had 9.5 total tackles, 8 solo tackles and 3 tackles for loss. Sam Wallace had 5.5 total tackles, with 5 solo tackles. Will Shaw had two sacks. Carson Bruns had 4.5 tackles with 4 solo. 
• Fumbles – Noah Franck and Blegen had one solo recovery each.
• Kickoff return – Sam Wallace had one return for 19 yards.
• Kicking – Nathan Rottman had 6 kickoffs for 305 yards. He was 5/5 for PATs.
• Punting – Easton Pfiffner had two punts for 93 yards.

Grinnell had 32 yards passing and 105 yards rushing. Kinnick Johnson led Grinnell with 83 yards.

Coach Jeff Zittergruen comments: We got really good play on the line of scrimmage both offensively and defensively. We wanted to establish a physical running game and after a little bit of a slow start we were able to move the ball pretty efficiently. Defensively we gave up a few big plays but for the most part we did a good job of stopping them in their run game. We still have some work to do to clean up some mistakes, but are looking forward to getting better moving into next week.

CPU game will be a good, physical football game. They had a big week 1 win and there is a lot of familiarity with them being a conference school. Points of emphasis for us will be to limit mistakes and continue to establish a physical running game.
