The winner plays BGM (9-13) or Lynnville-Sully (6-24) on Wednesday, Oct. 19, at Belle Plaine at 7 p.m. The next round is Oct. 24 at New London. The regional championship is Oct. 26 at a site to be determined. Also in Belle Plaine’s side of the bracket are New London (23-9), Hillcrest Academy (3-22), Iowa Valley (10-25), and English Valleys (9-15). On the other side of the bracket are Montezuma (7-16), Meskwaki Settlement (1-17), No. 1 Springville (29-2), Central City (15-20), Lone Tree (5-18), Highland (12-13) and Tri-County (5-18).
Benton (17-22) travels to West Marshall (18-14) on Monday, Oct. 17. The winner plays at No. 3 Mount Vernon against the winner of the Mount Vernon (28-5) and Iowa Falls-Alden (10-21) match on Wednesday, Oct. 19 at 7 p.m. Also in the bracket are No. 15 Vinton-Shellsburg (26-11), Anamosa (15-19), Roland-Story (16-11) and South Tama (12-20). The regional championship is Tuesday Oct. 25 at a site to be determined.
