Benton was 21 of 55 for field goals, 3 of 23 for three-pointers and 8 of 13 for free throws. The team had 29 rebounds, nine assists, 10 steals, two blocks, four turnovers and 16 fouls. Jenna Twedt had 27 points for Benton. Adding 11 each were Emma Townsley and Piper Nelson. With five rebounds each were Nelson, Twedt and Addison Phillips. Twedt had three assists. Nelson had five steals. Twedt added two blocks.

Iowa City Regina was 15 of 48 for field goals, 3 of 19 for three-pointers, and 11 of 13 for three-pointers. They had 32 rebounds, seven assists, one block, 16 turnovers and 17 fouls. Alli Clark led Regina with 15 points.

Benton hosts Mount Vernon (3-0) on Tuesday, Dec. 6, and travels to West Delaware (0-2) on Friday, Dec. 9.

The Bobcats were 19 of 49 from the field, 6 of 20 for three-pointers, and 7 of 11 for free throws. Benton had 19 rebounds, 14 assists, 10 steals, two blocks, 11 turnovers and 13 fouls. Noah Franck and Evan Daugherty had 11 points each. Franck added six rebounds and four assists. Owen Tjelmeland had three steals. With one block each were Franck and Tim Thompson.

Regina was 20 of 49 for field goals, 6 of 19 for three-pointers, and 9 of 17 for free throws. They had 36 rebounds, 14 assists, nine steals, one block, 14 turnovers and 11 fouls. Michael Martin led Regina with 17 points.

Benton hosts Grinnell (1-1) in a rescheduled game on Monday, Dec. 5, at Van Horne. Benton (0-2) travels to Mount Vernon (0-0) on Tuesday, Dec. 6, and hosts West Delaware (2-0) on Friday, Dec. 9.
