Belle Pliane had eight hits in the contest. Claire Neuhaus was 3 for 3 with two home runs and three RBIs. Taylor Johnson was 1 for 3 with a home run and one RBI. Allison Hoover had two RBIs. Brookelynn Henry was 2 for 3 with a double. Belle Plaine had five errors. Winning pitcher Sophia Petsche threw for six innings, allowed seven hits, three runs (two earned), walked two, and struck out six. Lucia Timm threw for one inning, allowed one hit, two runs (one earned), walked two and struck out one.

Belle Plaine travels to Sigourney on Friday, May 29, at 5:30 p.m. Belle Plaine hosts a tournament Saturday. At 9 a.m. Belle Plaine plays Springville, and Woodward-Granger at 12 p.m.
