Benton had two hits, with singles from DeMoss and Marissa Nolte. DeMoss stole on base. The team had two errors. Brynnlee Seeck was the losing pitcher, throwing for three innings, allowed 12 hits, 10 runs (eight earned), and walkig no one. Paige Meyer threw for one inning, allowing no hits.

Benton was scheduled to go to Independence on Monday, June 8. They will host Vinton-Shellsburg on Wednesday, June 10, in Van Horne. Benton hosts North Linn for one game on Friday, June 12. They travel to a tournament in West Liberty on Saturday, June 13. Other teams are Anamosa and Durant.

With one each were Gallagher and Graham Wallace. Benton had two errors. CCA had eight errors.

Mitchell-Birdsell threw for five innings, allowed seven hits, six earned runs, walked six and struck out six. Colton Kroneman threw for one inning, allowed two hits, and two runs (one earned).
