Wade Sankot threw for seven innings, allowing five hits, five runs (one earned), walking three, hitting one batter and striking out 11.

Belle Plaine had 13 hits. Lucia Timm was 2 for 3 with two RBIs. Chloe Svoboda was 3 for 4 with one RBI. Taylor Johnson was 2 for 3 with five RBIs. Sophia Petsche was 3 for 3 with two RBIs. Allison Hoover had two RBIs. Avery Walter had a single. Claire Neuhaus also had a single. Brookelynn Henry was 2 for 3. Timm scored four runs. Chloe Svoboda and Hoover added three runs each. Belle Plaine had one walk. Stealing one base each were Svoboda, Hoover and Henry. Belle Plaine had one error. Iowa Valley had three errors.

Timm threw for two innings for the win, allowing one hit, one run, walking one and striking out three. Petsche threw for two innings, allowing seven hits, four earned runs and striking out two.

Belle Plaine travels to Highland (15-6) for the 1A quarterfinal on Wednesday, July 8, at 7 p.m.
